Lunchtimes
All of our children remain at school during the mid-day break when they can either have a prepared school meal or bring a packed lunch. All children are supervised during the lunch break and are not allowed to leave the school site.
School lunches
Each school has its own kitchen, run by Education Catering, which produces a choice of well-balanced meals every day.
There are two choices of menu daily, one of which is always vegetarian. A third menu choice is offered in both schools. During the Summer months, the Juniors’ third option is a packed lunch, which can be eaten outside. Please see below for the current menu choices.
School lunches are free for all Infant School children. For Junior School children, school lunches cost £3.20 per day. Please pay for lunches in advance using Arbor.

CHANGES TO SCHOOL LUNCHES FROM JANUARY 2026
Starting from January 2026, Hampshire will no longer be using Education Catering (previously HC3S), and our school will be partnering with a new catering company, Chartwells, to provide meals for our students.
This change is aimed at improving the quality, variety, and nutritional value of the meals offered to your children. The new provider is committed to meeting all dietary requirements and ensuring a balanced menu for every student. The ordering system for your child’s school meal will not change – they will continue to order in class at the beginning of each day.
Infant School children will continue to receive fully funded school lunches. Junior School children (not in receipt of Free School Meals) will continue to be charged for their meals, but the price will reduce from the current £3.20 to the new price of £2.75.
Children with special dietary requirements that have existing individual menus with HC3S will be contacted by Chartwells who are in the process of writing and sharing medical diet menus with parents.
· If your child has any dietary requirements (such as allergens or a vegan diet), that are not currently known by the school, please advise Chartwells using this link by 5th December 2025.

Packed lunches
As a school we aim to promote a healthy lifestyle. If you choose to provide a packed lunch for your child, please ensure that this contains a healthy balanced meal and does not contain sweets or chocolates. We are a nut-free school so please avoid all nut products. Thank you for your support with this.
