Sustainability

At Liphook Federation, we are committed to creating a greener, more sustainable future for our students, staff and community. Guided by the Government’s Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy for Education, we are proud to be part of a nationwide movement to embed environmental responsibility into every aspect of school life.

Our Vision

To empower pupils with the knowledge, skills and values they need to make thoughtful choices and become responsible, environmentally aware citizens.

We believe sustainability is not just something we learn about in lessons – it’s a way of thinking, learning and living that helps us care for our world every day. Together, we hope to inspire young people to make better choices, recycle and look after our natural environment and the wonderful animals and plants in it.

By working as a team, we can all help to make our planet a better place to live and protect our planet for the future.

What we are doing

In line with the Department for Education’s targets we have:

 Reducing single use plastics

Learning for a Greener Future

Illustration of a boy and a girl standing next to a tree. The environment is a key driver of our curriculum and is thoughtfully embedded across learning journeys. Through a strong focus on oracy, students are empowered to explore, articulate and take meaningful action – developing both their voice and their agency as responsible global citizens.  Our commitment is further strengthened by our Green Teams in both schools, where pupils lead sustainability initiatives and champion environmental awareness within the school community.

Get involved

Parent, carers and local organisations are welcome to support our sustainability journey.  Whether it’s volunteering, donating materials, or shaping expertise, your involvement makes a difference.

Together, we’re growing a greener tomorrow – one action at a time.
